If you have just downloaded and unzipped the zipball archive, you have to get run the setpermissions.sh shell script to restore the symlinks and properly set the Linux permissions on the files. This script will delete some unnecessary content (e.g the .gitignore files) as well. When the script has run, you can safely delete it and the .metadata file. When you complete the entire install, you can delete this readme as well.
